Conveyor Belt Furnaces


S.M. Engineering is pleased to offer custom-built conveyor belt furnaces, used for continuous and uninterrupted processes of annealing, hardening, brazing, soldering, glass sealing, and enameling. Furnaces can be fabricated with belt widths up to 36” in with a wide array of available features such as digital belt controls, multiple zones, and automatic nitrogen purge system. Manual nitrogen purge is also built in for more operator control. A heat source option of electricity or gas firing, with heating elements including nichrome 80/20, wear and ribbon, or silicon carbide glow bars. Temperatures up to 1800 °F to 2100 °F can be reached. We offer custom design and fabrication of multiple tube furnaces, for wire and strip quench annealing processes. These horizontal furnaces include round muffles and coolers, low watt density elements, and a manual nitrogen purge. Added available options include independently controlled multiple zones for increased capacity, high limit temp controls, SCR power control, PC interface, electric or gas firing heat source, and water cooling functionality.

S.M. Engineering provides custom designed horizontal retort furnaces for a number of industries, suitable for processes where a controlled or protective atmosphere is necessary. Our retort furnaces feature re-circulating fan with unique sanseal cover design to evenly distribute temperature and atmosphere, low-watt density for longer element life, and 80/20 nichrome ribbon heating elements. They are equipped with a state of the art atmosphere safety system with automatic as well as manual nitrogen purge, and a maximum heating temperature of 1800 °F.

Our dissociators come equipped with a range of features, such as NFPA approved safety components, high flow limit control, multi-pass retorts, and gas cooling or gas heat exchanging.
